MISSION of the Colorado Avalanche Information Center: The CAIC promotes safety by reducing the impact of avalanches on recreation, industry, and transportation in the State through a program of forecasting and education.
The CAIC is a program within the Colorado Geological Survey. The CAIC is supported by donations, contributions and some State money. This page is supported by backcountry travelers like you.
