Annually Routt County 4-H Youth are required to attend or re-certify in Meat Quality Assurance and Animal Ethics. 4-H members pride themselves in raising healthy wholesome food products. First time youth in market or breeding livestock are required to attend the an annual meat quality assurance and animal ethics training.
This year it is:

April 2nd

If you have attended a training in the past and are a first year senior you can do the program online. You can attend one of the workshops offered, or you can re-certify online. Former Colorado State University Youth Livestock Specialist Dr. Celina Johnson created an online tutorial and test.

You can take the test. To be re-certified in Routt County you must have all the answers right. After completion of the test and check list you may email the test to Jay Whaley at jwhaley@co.routt.co.us .

1. click on file / then save as
2. Name the document as your name, save it to your hard drive
3. Email the Word document to jwhaley@co.routt.co.us as an attachment.

Remember, it is the law to abide by medical labels, and use medicines in an ethical manner. Most importantly you have a moral responsibility to produce wholesome, healthy food products for the consumer.

Exhibitors showing livestock that will at some point of time become part of the food chain are required to annually attend MQA or re-certify in MQA.
