The Routt County Foundation manages the apartments in South Routt and Steamboat Springs. The organization manages the funding and overseeing of this housing.

Potential Services
Funding for:

• In-home respite care (respite care is the hiring of a temporary/substitue caregiver in order to provide periods of rest and/or relief for a primary caregiver, be they family member, friend or agency personnel.)




• Adult Day Center, Assisted Living Facility or Nursing Home respite care.

The Scott Community Center is attached to the Selbe Apartments and is used for various senior activities like potlucks on Saturdays, birthday parties and other social gatherings.

For over 20 years the Kiwanas Club of Steamboat has hosted a Senior Citizen gala dinner. The yearly event honors and recognizes our local older generation of Routt County. Typically 80-90 senior citizens of Routt county come and take part in the event. Most of them come from the Senior Citizens retirement centers of Steamboat, Oak Creek and Yampa. All Senior of Routt County are invited to this free dinner.
