The Friends of the Routt Backcountry's annual membership drive & educational focus event is the Wooden Ski Festival.
We move this event around to areas where we are concentrating our energy on specific travel management issues. For the past three years this event has been help in north Rouott on or near the Hahn's Peak area.
This years event is March 5-6, 2005 and will be held at the Columbine Cabins.
Start thinking about your costumes now, because part of the event is dressing up in genuine old time ski outfits. Take your old woodies off of the wall and bring them with you to be pine-tarred.
