There are two primary digital collections in Colorado which are available online. The Denver Public Library's History and Genealogy Photo Collection and the Colorado Digitization Program.
The Colorado Digitization Program offers several collections.
"Heritage is a database that brings to the people of Colorado the special collections and unique resources of Colorado's archives, historical societies, libraries and museums in digital format. You can access photos, textual materials, artifacts, costumes, diaries, oral history transcripts, manuscripts, and a host of other materials on Colorado's cultural, scientific and historical heritage."
"Colorado’s Historical Newspaper Collection ... is a statewide historic newspaper database, beginning with 44 newspapers dating from 1859 to 1880. The database includes full text indexing of all articles, graphics, letters to the editor, and advertising."
You can search both of these collections at the same time through either the Colorado Virtual Library or via the Colorado Digitization Program Web site.
