Bolten Ranch
Bolten Ranch in Winter
The Bolten Ranch, is registered on the Colorado State Register of Historical Places along with the Routt County Register of Historic Places. It is located on a prominent point overlooking the Yampa River and the Town of Hayden. It represents ranching from the turn of the 20th century into the 21st century.

The Kimsey's originally homesteaded the ranch at the turn of the 20th century. Around 1920 Isadore Bolten, a prominent sheep and cattle rancher, acquired the ranch and transformed it into its current layout which is more typical of a classic New England farm with rock walls and gambrel barn.

The ranch is unique in its historical importance in that the integrity of most of the buildings and structures has remained intact through the years.

Tammie and Patrick Delaney, (the current owners), have worked hard to preserve the nature of this historic Routt County Ranch.
