Brief Biography:
Hinkley comes from a family of athletes. His grandfather is in the Masters Hall of Fame in badminton and track and field and his father competed as a Nordic combined skier. Hinkley began skiing at the age of three, racing alpine at six and switched to combined at the age of twelve. Hinkley later moved to Steamboat to train and compete. He is a two-time World Junior Championship team medalist, taking the gold in 1999 and the silver in 2000. Hinkley finished in the top 10 at the 2001 World Junior Championships.
