Brief Biography:
Quintana attended Steamboat’s Lowell Whiteman School and maintained a 4.0 average while skiing. After she graduated in 1983 she began competing on the World Cup. Quintana is credited with the reputation of being the first woman skier in the world to successfully complete the triple-backflip. She placed 5th in the US National Championships in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire in 1983. Quintana was the ranking American Aerialist in World Cup competition for many years after winning in 1984, and was the World Aerial Champion for the FIS Freestyle Team in Tignes, France in 1986, aerial specialist for the U.S. Freestyle Team since 1986 and finished 5th in the World Cup competition in 1986 and 1987. Quintana retired from competition in 1991.
