Brief Biography:
Lodwick was born in Steamboat. He skied down the slopes in his Mom’s backpack at the age of 2, began jumping at the age of five on Howelson Hill and competing in junior events at the age of 11. He made the US Ski Team at age 15 and his first full season on the World Cup Circuit was 1994 -1995. Lillehammer was his first Olympic games at age 17. Lodwick was the first American skier to win a Nordic combined World Cup in 1995. In 2005, with seven U.S. ski jumping championship titles, Lodwick tied the 77-year old record set by Lars Haugen.

When he won his 15th U.S. National title in 2005 he said, “It is pretty nice, but really just means I’m getting old.” Lodwick is still competing and plans to compete through the 2006 games. He just completed his tenth consecutive year of placing in the top 8 in the overall world ranking. Through all of his travels, he has realized that there is no place like Steamboat, which makes coming home that much sweeter. Lodwick married Sunny Owens in April 2001. Their daughter, Charley Jordan was born in January 2006.
