Brief Biography:
Lalive was born in Truckee, California in the heart of a beautiful mountain area. She started skiing at the age of two. Being that her father is Swiss, skiing was literally in her blood. They moved to Switzerland where she started skiing in the Alps. She first dreamed of being part of the Olympics in 1988. From that day forward she made winning a gold medal part of her daily motivation. Lalive and her family moved to Steamboat in 1995. She graduated from Lowell Whiteman School in 1997.

Lalive competed in the 1998 and 2002 Olympic games, was the combined gold medal winner at the 1999 World Juniors Championships, recorded seven top-10 finishes in the 2003 World Cup tour and finished 10th in downhill and 13th in slalom and combined at the 2003 World Championships in St. Mortiz, Switzerland.
