Historic Routt County! is leading the effort to preserve the Diamond Window Cabin as a historic landmark this summer. HRC! is urgently seeking funds for the $30,000 that is needed to stabilize the foundation and roof, and to bring the cabin back to its 1985 appearance. It was vacant at that time, but standing tall. An interpretive sign will be installed when the work is complete. Our sincere thanks to volunteers from Nationwide Painting Contractors worked on temporary stabilization of the roof in November 2005, delaying its imminent collapse during the winter.
