Oak Creek Park (Decker Park)
|
In 1959 Oak Creek's city park was used as a football field for the Oak Creek Union High Miners. It was bordered on the east by Gillians Icehouse and Pond.

In 1984 the park flooded.

A Beautification Committee was formed to help restore the park.

Sandbags were used keep the creek back.

The beautiful new park was dedicated to Jim "Decker" Babcock who was killed in a mine accident.
