Northwest Colorado Cultural Heritage Tourism Initiative

The Northwest Colorado Cultural Heritage Tourism effort was initiated by a partnership of the Routt County Economic Development Cooperative along with collaborative partnerships with Yampa Valley Partners; Historic Routt County; The Community Agriculture Alliance and Yampa Valley Economic Development Council.

The primary purpose of gathering communities was to conduct a preliminary assessment of the potential of a regional cultural heritage tourism program in Northwest Colorado that encompasses the counties of Rio Blanco, Moffat and Routt, and includes the communities of Meeker, Rangely, Dinosaur, Maybell, Craig, Hayden, Hahns Peak, Yampa, Phippsburg/Oak Creek, and Steamboat.
