  • Hayden community members. The Hayden High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Steering Committee volunteers will assist with questions and gather ideas on the issues and important items of Hayden.

WHY:

  • The Hayden High School FBLA is working with the Town of Hayden, The Orton Family Foundation and a steering committee of community members to produce a community video. The objective of the video project is to discover and communicate a common vision for our community by producing a documentary of Hayden’s history and character as well as a chronicle of its people, priorities, and values.

  • The process of creating the video is as important or more important than the end product. By reflecting on where we came from, where we are and where we want to be we can develop a visual reference to help guide our community in making informed decisions about the future.

  • The Open House will follow up from questions posed to the community on a survey through the FBLA to tell the story of Hayden with the accuracy, detail, and heart that it deserves by sharing community members memories, artifacts, and opinions.

  • Community Surveys will be distributed to a sampling of Hayden residents the week of September 29th are to be returned by October 8th. Additional surveys and collection boxes are located in the administrative offices of the Hayden Schools, Post Office, Hayden Mercantile, City Offices, 1st National Bank of the Rockies, Bear River Coop and Yampa Valley Feeds. Surveys are also available online at www.yampavalley.info. Follow the links to the Hayden Community Video Survey on the public forum.
