Steamboat Springs Montessori School
0 CommentsView the Comments in this Topic
The Colorado State Board of Education has remanded the denial of our charter application. This means that the Steamboat Springs Re-2 School Board and Steamboat Springs Montessori are to work together over the next month to work out some of our differences and try to reach an acceptable charter contract so that the school may be established. We are moving forward with the creation of this school! Now is a great time to get involved. Please contact us to let us know how you would like to help build this school. With over 1 million Montessori students in the U.S. and countless more abroad, Montessori is the single largest independent organized school movement in the world. We are in the planning stages of bringing a charter Montessori school to Steamboat. Charter schools are public schools open and available to all the children in the community. Some children learn better in a different environment. By offering such a program in the public schools, parents in Steamboat Springs can choose what will work best for their child.
