Pedestrian Recycling Unit (Yampa Valley Medical Center)

A Pedestrian Recycling Unit (PRU) is an enclosure that houses newspapaer racks and has slots for recycling itmes such as newspapers, magazines, junk mail, aluminum cans, and plastic and glass bottles. Yampa Valley Recycles goal for bulding this unit was to provide a place for recycling in the entrance to the Hospital. This PRU was built in 2007 by the Steamboat Springs High School Vocational Arts classes with donations from Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation. The pedestals and spacers were donated by Denver Newspaper Agancy. Yampa Valley Medical Center budgets funds for service and maintenance of this unit.
