Each winter since 1983, the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation sponsors the annual Snowball event as a way to celebrate the winter season and benefit a local non-profit organization. Snowball has consistently earned the selected recipient over $25,000 through an auction and ticket sales to the dinner.

The designated Beneficiary should be a local, non-profit organization that is purposeful, comprehensive and has obtained longevity within the Steamboat Springs, community. The organization must demonstrate a financial need and provide the specific proposed use of the Snowball funds. The selected organization must have a willingness and ability to assist the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation with staff, volunteers, ticket sales, theme and decor, and solicitation of auction items. Deadline for applications is January 1st.

In the application, organizations should include;
·Mission /Value Statement
· Current situation
· Future Challenges
· Goal, Objectives and Purpose of the Snowball Request
· Previous Donation History with SS&RC, if applicable
· SS&RC employees who volunteer time to organization
· One nomination for the Hazie Award

Submissions for the Snowball Beneficaiary will be accepted until January 1st. Please submit one original and two copies to:
