Water is a precious resource. The threat of drought over the past few years has raised an awareness to its value.

The following are some web resources on drought and water supply that might be of interest on the topic. These links were accumulated by the Mt Werner Water District.

This site shows the existing snow water equivalent up at the top of Buffalo
Pass. We use the information to extrapolate how much runoff will flow into
Fish Creek Reservoir. Natural Resource Conservation Service

This site shows the flow of water past the Fish Creek Filtration Plant.
This site allows you to see the huge amount of runnoff water that goes by
the plant in April, May and June. USGS

This site, also shows the flow of water in the Yampa River at the fifth
street bridge. This site allows you to see the flow in the river relative
to average flow over the past 30 years. USGS

This site is a national drought monitoring site, which helps in the
realization that this problem not only affects us but many other people
