Mission The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
Programs and Services The Centennial Chapter of the American Red Cross is committed to providing emergency services and preparedness training to the community. Disaster Action Teams located throughout the twelve county area provide 24 hour emergency assistance to families whose homes have been damaged by natural disasters such as fire, flood and tornado.
The Red Cross helps individuals, families and businesses prepare for emergencies by providing CPR, First Aid, AED, HIV/AIDS education, caregiver/babysitter training, water safety and swimming classes. Emergency preparedness training includes family survival plans, disaster supply kits, hazardous weather awareness and the Masters of Disaster curriculum. Armed Forces Emergency Services provides emergency communication between military personnel and their families.
