Routt County is best known as home to a world-class ski resort “Steamboat”, but it is also home to four State Parks (Steamboat Lake, Pearl Lake, Stagecoach Reservoir, and Yampa River), all of which are open during the summer and winter seasons, two rivers; the Yampa and the Elk, 9 thriving towns each with unique dining experiences, cultural events, and shopping, all surrounded by the Routt National Forest, and Flat Tops and Zirkel wilderness areas.
