MISSION
To make a positive difference in the lives of the youth of Routt County by facilitating one-to-one partnerships between adult volunteers and youth.
VISION
All Routt County youth will be empowered to live healthy, productive lives, to contribute to their community and to successfully pursue their dreams.
History
In 1996, a group of concerned local citizens came together with the purpose of starting a youth mentoring organization in Routt County. After researching several models, they contacted Partners Mentoring Association (PMA) and were given the advice, encouragement and guidelines to help develop the One-to-One Youth Mentoring Program. PRC was formed in 1996 and granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS.
Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC) and PRC collaborated to offer the School-Based Mentoring Program for five years until RMYC acknowledged that to ensure the sustainability of School-Based Mentoring, it was best to hand the program over to the "mentoring experts". In July of 2006, PRC assumed all fiscal and programmatic responsibility of School-Based Mentoring. Therefore, the 2008-2009 school year marks PRC's third year of being wholly responsible for all aspects of the program. In 2009, PRC celebrates 13 years of youth mentoring, serving youth throughout Routt County, year round.

2007-2009 Strategic Plan
We have evaluated our strengths and weaknesses, taken stock of our current programs, brainstormed different ways in which we might grow, and prioritized areas of focus. This is a "living document", first created in January 2005, and is revised annually by the Board of Directors and staff to reflect updated issues, challenges and opportunities.
Over the next three years, we will continue to focus our efforts on five goals that represent the foundations of successful youth mentoring:
1) Develop strong agency capacity
2) Align practices with proven program design
3) Develop and maintain effective community partnerships
4) Plan for sustainable resource development
5) Implement useful program evaluation.
We are committed to maintaining and strengthening our mentoring programs that makes a positive difference for the youth of Routt County. We are grateful to the Partners' board, staff, volunteers, youth, friends, supporters, and all other stakeholders who make this meaningful work possible.
