What is it?

Fun, safe, affordable, substance free after school programming provided by the City of Steamboat Springs Teen Programs & Americorps School Based Mentors

When is it?

Thursdays, 3:20-5:30 p.m. during the school year (no program during school breaks)

Who can go?

Open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students

What do we do?

Recreation activities including swimming, bowling, rock climbing, pottery, cooking, crafts, movies and more.

The Nitty Gritty:

Participants will be picked up every week at the SSMS (Steamboat Springs Middle School) flagpole and transported in the city of Steamboat Springs Recreation Van.

Parents/Guardians should pick up their child every week at 5:30 p.m. at the Igloo, next to the Howelson Ice Rink, 279 Howelson Pkwy.

Supervisors for the program are Pete Kraska, City of Steamboat Springs Teen Programs and Americorps School Based Mentor, Derek Kratzer

Parents/Guardians must sign a Release Form (which can be obtained at the bottom of this site)before their child can participate

Students can register for T.A.S.C. every week in the administration office at the SSMS by 3:30 p.m. the Wednesday prior. Sign up will be posted at 8 a.m. the Monday prior

There must be a minimum of five, registered participants signed up for T.A.S.C. by 3:30 p.m. the Wednesday prior, or the program will be cancelled. Registered participants will be notified by telephone Wednesday afternoon of cancellations.

NO SHOWS are not acceptable. If a child has registered for the weekly program they are required to be there unless there is an excused absence. Parents/Guardians will be notified if a participant does not show up for T.A.S.C. Repeat NO SHOW offenders may be excluded from future activities

T.A.S.C. is FREE!(unless otherwise noted)

T.A.S.C. activity schedule will be published in the SSMS newsletter and on fliers in the SSMS
