Each year, the District sponsors an award for an outstanding 4-H member.

The Board is proud to sponsor Hallie Shiner, one of two 2002 Outstanding Senior 4-H Members. A junior at SoRoCo High School, Hallie has participated in 4-H for the past six years. Her activities include horse, market swine, sewing, cake decorating, and leather goods. She distinguishes herself in her teaching of veterinary science to younger 4-H members. Hallie has also attended district retreats and state conferences, and she serves as a Routt County 4-H Council senator and represents her peers at state senate conferences.
