While many people grow up in a city, or on a beach, I grew up in one of the most beautiful mountain valleys imaginable. The Yampa Valley is home to people who enjoy the outdoors, beautiful mountain scenery, and lots of skiing and other winter sports. The Yampa River runs right through the valley, and down through town. The ski mountain is so massive, it is not possible to miss it or hide it with buildings. The summers in the valley yield bright sun, colorful flowers and many choices of activities to choose from. Any thing from kayaking, to mountain biking, rock climbing to camping, even dirt biking to tubing down the Yampa. I enjoy every aspect of the valley, its beauty, serenity, and even the harsh blizzards of the winter.
