Mount Werner is what makes Steamboat the town that it is. It brings many tourists to our town, and is a great place to ski. I love skiing in our famous trees with the champagne powder that lies between them. I also love to race here because it is my home hill. I have been racing on See Me for over ten years, and still enjoy it today. We are lucky to have such a great ski mountain in our town. I often, however, get into trouble on the Ski Mountain because the ski patrols are a bit strict. This is a product of the complaining tourists that we are all constantly annoyed by. If they didn't bring so much to our town's economy, I don't know if I could handle them being in my way on the mountain all of the time. Even with all of the tourists, when I am on top of Mount Werner on a sunny day, I forget about them and enjoy the view of our valley. Many of the memories I have of wintertime are set on the mountain, and I am glad that they are. I still have great times up there today, just as thousands of others do. I love to ski, and I live in the best place to do it.
