When I moved to Steamboat Springs in third grade, I attended the United Methodist Church of Steamboat. I grew up through Sunday School, and participated in many plays put on by the students. The congregation always is willing to extend an extra hand to the youth of the church. The religious community I have been incorporated into has been very supportive from the beginning. Through going to church, I have met some amazing citizens of Routt County that have made a big difference in my life and in the lives of people in the community. When I went through confirmation, my mentor was a lady named Marsha Daughenbaugh. The Daughenbaugh family has been a large contributor of the County's beef. Owning one of the oldest cattle ranches in the valley, the Daughenbaugh's have always lent a hand to me at any time I needed it.
