
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health:

- Energy efficiency
- Materials selection
- Indoor environmental quality

The PDF document listed below is the current LEEDs checklist for the Bud Werner Memorial Library. A Y signifies that we will be able to meet the requirement. A ? signifies that we are not absolutely sure we can meet the requirement, but we will try to do so if the opportunity presents itself. An N signifies that we are sure we cannot meet the requirement.
