Over the course of the last several years, Library staff and board members have visited close to 30 libraries in an effort to develop a sense of what would be desired in terms of the new Bud Werner Memorial Library. A sense of well being and an abundance of natural light, were primary qualities that we thought would make Library spaces cozy and intimate with a strong sense of civic artfulness.

The new library building was completed in an updated Arts and Crafts style. Warm, cherry woodwork, hand crafted elements, glass art, strong color, and images of nature are incorporated in the design in an effort to create a community library that will provide a timeless and inspiring space of beauty, harmony, balance, and integrity.
