Routt County Historic Preservations Board has principal responsibility for matters of historic preservation designation in Routt County.

The Routt County Historic Preservation Board (RCHPB) was established in 1993 by the Routt County Commissioners and meets quarterly to review applications and make recommendations to the County Commissioners for approval of designation.  Applications are due one month before the RCHPB meets.  Please contact the Preservation Assistant for exact dates.  Within a month after the RCHPB meets, the Commissioners hear the recommendations and make their decision in a public meeting.

The board consists of seven (7) members all of whom are residents of Routt County. The board members are a geographic representation of all of Routt County and have demonstrated interest in and commitment to historic preservation. Board members are appointed by the County Commissioners and serve five (5) year terms. The Current members are:
