The Humble Ranch Education & Therapy Center offers educational and therapeutic activities on a working ranch. Specific programs for the community, including those for individuals with special needs, are being offered with the emphasis on outdoor activities. These programs include:
- A Therapeutic Riding Program for individuals with varied abilities
- A Handicap-Accessible Trail to the Yampa River
- A Community Center providing wildlife, ranching and land preservation education through the use of outdoor activities, exhibits and on-site library.
We are a non-profit whose purpose is to provide a facility and outdoor programs for all individuals to experience and appreciate the therapeutic resourses of our precious open space and wilderness. We hope that our visitors will develop a better understanding of our heritage and the precious lands in which we live, thereby empowering each of us to become responsible citizens in our community and this developing world.
Our 2008 summer programs run June through September with Hippotherapy sessions scheduled Monday through Thursday mornings, private therapeutic riding sessions on a weekly basis, Horizons Program in the late afternoons and 2-3 Mini Camps scheduled M-F in the mornings.
We recruit Volunteers year round. Approximately 60-80 volunteers are needed. If you are interested in volunteerng for the 2008 season, contact jeanne or Pat via email or phone listed below.
