GOVERNANCE
 
Lift-Up is governed by a 12 to 15 member Board of Directors (click to directors) that represents several community entities, including several faith organizations. The Board of Directors hires and supervises an Executive Director to carry out and manage the daily aspects of the organization.
 
HISTORY
 
Lift-Up of Routt County is a “grass-roots” 501C3 non-profit organization founded in May 1996 by the Steamboat Springs Ministerial Association and several local church communities to provide charitable assistance for people in need.
 
  • The Food Bank and Emergency Assistance programs opened to the public in May 1996.
  • The Lift-Up community Thrift Store opened its doors in October 1997.
  • The South Routt Food Bank in Oak Creek opened in 2000.
  • The Haden Food Bank opened in 2001.
  • The Lufkin Lift-Up Center, housing all Steamboat Springs programs and offices, was dedicated on January 10, 2007.
