The keeping of accurate records is imperative if you are going to succeed at business. There are hundreds of individuals who have wonderful ideas for products or services, who are skilled at what they do, there is a market for their services, however, they did not want to be bothered with the details of recordkeeping. Their business was likely doomed to failure because they lacked the ability and/or willpower to establish even the simplest of recordkeeping system.

If you do not want to establish a recordkeeping system and have the discipline to keep it current ~ do not start your own business. It is that simple!
