The Success Steps Luncheon is a monthly seminar held on the 2nd thursday of every month on topics of interest to local businesses and entrepreneurs in the Yampa Valley. All Seminars begin promptly at 11:30am at The Smokehouse Restaurant which is located at 912 Lincoln in downtown Steamboat Springs. There is a $15 fee for this program which will provide a buffet lunch from the Smokehouse. The Smokehouse has a meeting room as you enter the building to the right of the main dining area.
The monthly Success Steps Seminar is brought to as a collaborative effort of the Business Resource Director, SCORE, Colorado Mountain College Small Business Resource Center and Steamboat Springs Economic Development Council - an active sub-committee of the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association.

Understand the Basics of Government Contracting
CMC and SCORE present a seminar on working with city, county and US Forest Service. Learn where to find out about opportunities to provide products and services to these agencies. Is there an approved vendor list? What differences exist between commercial and government contracting? What essential conditions are required to bid upon jobs? Finally, what is the process for Requests for Proposals and Request for Quotations.
If your business has a product or service that you believe may be useful to the city, county or US Forest Service and you have little or no experience working with these entities, this program will be a good introduction.
The presentation will be facilitated by Randy Rudasics, Manager of the Bogue Enterprise Center at Colorado Mountain College. Speakers will include; Jamie Kingsbury of the US Forest Service, Anne Small from the City of Steamboat and Marti Hamilton from Routt County.
