Steamboat All Arts Festival

The Steamboat Springs African Dance & Drum Ensemble is honored to help initiate our hometown's innagural All Arts Festival, Aug. 20-23.

The Steamboat All Arts Festival is the newest and most collaborative event in Steamboat - a four-day event that highlights the amazing arts and culture in the Yampa Valley while featuring nationally-renowned artists. The Steamboat All Arts Festival incorporates all aspects of the arts into one cohesive event including dance, vocal, musical, visual, literary and culinary arts...and that includes your local West African dancers and drummers!

The African Ensemble is scheduled to perform at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, on the outdoor stage on Yampa Street, downtown Steamboat. The show is free!

We are also hosting a community dance class during the All Arts Festival, an opportunity to sample West African dance with live drumming and share our passion for West African culture with anyone (locals and visitors alike!) who's ever been curious about this beautiful, lively and culturally enriching art form.
