The Orton Family Foundation, Land Information Access Association (LIAA) and The City of Steamboat Springs formed a partnership in 2001 to create an innovative community resource center.
The Orton Family Foundation funded development of the site and led the development team.
Land Information Access Association (LIAA), a federally approved section 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation registered in Michigan organized to help public officials and citizens with more affective access to information about the cultural and natural resources that compose their communities, provided the software development and technology of the site.
The City of Steamboat Springs provided the home for yampavalley.info in Centennial Hall, including information system support, mapping support and more.
An Advisory Committee composed of dozens of community representatives assisted in the informational content of the site.
